چکیده

In this paper, we propose a method to parse human motion in unconstrained Internet videos without labeling any videos for training. We use the training samples from a public image pose dataset to avoid the tediousness of labeling video streams. There are two main problems confronted. First, the distribution of images and videos are different. Second, no temporal information is available in the training images. To smooth the inconsistency between the labeled images and unlabeled videos, our algorithm iteratively incorporates the pose knowledge harvested from the testing videos into the image pose detector via an adjust-andrefine method. During this process, continuity and tracking constraints are imposed to leverage the spatio-temporal information only available in videos. For our experiments, we have collected two datasets from YouTube and experiments show that our method achieves good performance for parsing human motions. Furthermore, we found that our method achieves better performance by using unlabeled video than adding more labeled pose images into the training set.

Unsupervised video-shot segmentation and model-free anchorperson detection for news video story parsing

News story parsing is an important and challenging task in a news video library system. In this paper, we address two important components in a news video story parsing system: shot boundary detection and anchorperson detection. First, an unsupervised fuzzy -means algorithm is used to detect video-shot boundaries in order to segment a news video into video shots. Then, a graph-theoretical clust...

Action Change Detection in Video Based on HOG

Background and Objectives: Action recognition, as the processes of labeling an unknown action of a query video, is a challenging problem, due to the event complexity, variations in imaging conditions, and intra- and inter-individual action-variability. A number of solutions proposed to solve action recognition problem. Many of these frameworks suppose that each video sequence includes only one ...

Traffic Scene Analysis using Hierarchical Sparse Topical Coding

Analyzing motion patterns in traffic videos can be exploited directly to generate high-level descriptions of the video contents. Such descriptions may further be employed in different traffic applications such as traffic phase detection and abnormal event detection. One of the most recent and successful unsupervised methods for complex traffic scene analysis is based on topic models. In this pa...

Deep Unsupervised Domain Adaptation for Image Classification via Low Rank Representation Learning

Domain adaptation is a powerful technique given a wide amount of labeled data from similar attributes in different domains. In real-world applications, there is a huge number of data but almost more of them are unlabeled. It is effective in image classification where it is expensive and time-consuming to obtain adequate label data. We propose a novel method named DALRRL, which consists of deep ...

A Word Clustering Approach to Domain Adaptation: Effective Parsing of Biomedical Texts

We present a simple and effective way to perform out-of-domain statistical parsing by drastically reducing lexical data sparseness in a PCFG-LA architecture. We replace terminal symbols with unsupervised word clusters acquired from a large newspaper corpus augmented with biomedical targetdomain data. The resulting clusters are effective in bridging the lexical gap between source-domain and targ...
